Stephen Waddington
Stephen practises widely in complex commercial litigation and advises across a broad range of legal areas. He accepts instructions to appear in applications, trials and appeals, as well as arbitrations.
Stephen joined the bar as an experienced solicitor, having been a senior associate in the disputes group of Herbert Smith Freehills, where he advised and acted on matters involving company and securities law (including corporate control disputes, corporate governance disputes, whistleblowing and corporate crime), contractual disputes, banking and finance disputes, insolvency and restructuring, regulatory investigations and enforcement, commercial equity, and fiduciary and fraud-related disputes.
Previously, Stephen worked as a lawyer with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, and as in-house counsel to ASX-listed mining and energy companies (on secondment from Herbert Smith Freehills).
