Jason MacLaurin SC
Jason MacLaurin appears as counsel in a wide range of cases in the Supreme Court, Federal Courts, and District Courts of Western Australia, including appellate work.
He also appears in commercial arbitrations, both international and domestic. This includes having appeared as lead counsel in an international arbitration conducted at Singapore’s Maxwell Chambers.
Jason’s practice encompasses general commercial and civil law, building and construction and also has defamation and media law practice.
Jason was an adjunct Associate Professor at Notre Dame University from 2007 to 2014, lecturing in Competition and Consumer Law. He has lectured in Competition Law at Murdoch University and has been a teacher at the UWA’s Forensic Advocacy Course from 2014 to 2016.
Jason is currently the Editor of the Law Society of Western Australia’s Brief journal.
