Clinton Russell SC

Clinton has a broad commercial practice focusing on insurance, torts, building and construction, real property, corporations and defamation disputes. He provides advice and regularly appears both at first instance and at appellate level. He also accepts instructions to appear in tribunals and arbitrations.

Prior to joining the bar, Clinton practised at Mallesons.

Clinton has a keen interest in advocacy teaching. He is accredited by the Australian Bar Association as an advocacy trainer and has taught at advocacy courses for the Australian Bar Association and the Piddington Society.

Clinton has been listed as a leading barrister in Western Australia in Doyle’s Guide for Commercial Litigation (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), Insolvency (2018, 2021, 2024), Construction Law (2022) and Insurance (2025).

Clinton was a member of the WA Bar Association Council from 2014 to 2017 and has been a director of WA Bar Chambers Ltd since 2017.
