Jessica Berry
Jessica Berry practises in commercial, public and criminal law.
Jessica began her legal career in 2014 as Associate to the Hon. Justice of Appeal Newnes. She then worked at the State Solicitor’s Office for several years, providing advice and acting as counsel in criminal and civil matters. Jessica has experience in complex regulatory prosecutions, civil liability matters, commercial and construction disputes and coronial inquests. While at the State Solicitor’s Office, Jessica appeared as sole counsel in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Coroner’s Court and the State Administrative Tribunal, and completed a secondment to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.
Immediately prior to joining the bar, Jessica was Senior Legal Counsel in an inhouse legal team for an ASX-listed resources company. In this role Jessica advised in relation to environmental approval and compliance matters, land access agreements, construction contracts, employment matters and commercial disputes.
Jessica has lectured in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law and Introduction to Law at Mudoch University.
