FBC Congratulates Clinton Russell SC on being elected to the position of Chair

At FBC’s annual general meeting, Clinton Russell SC was elected to the position of Chair.

Since his call to the independent bar in 2013, Clinton has developed a broad commercial practice focusing on insurance, torts, building and construction, real property, corporations, and defamation disputes.

Clinton brings a wealth of experience to the role of Chair, having served on the board of FBC since 2017 (including as Vice-Chair since 2023). Clinton has made meaningful contributions to the legal profession over the years, including through his work on Bar Council, the Law Society of WA Council, and the Law Society of WA’s Courts Committee. Clinton’s dedication to fostering innovation, collaboration and collegiality at Chambers, and within the profession more broadly, will be an asset as FBC moves forward under his leadership.

Clinton takes over the role of Chair from Kim Lendich SC, who made history as the first woman to chair Francis Burt Chambers and who provided exemplary leadership during her tenure. FBC recognises the incredible contribution that Kim has made to FBC as Chair and, since 2012, as a member of the Board more generally.

As Chair, Clinton looks forward to working closely with Vice-Chair, Rachel Joseph, and the Board (comprised of Justin Edwards SC, Bill Keane SC, Nicholas Ellery, Asanka Gunasekera, Lee McIntosh, Carolyn Moss, Rebecca O’Brien, and Christopher Taylor-Burch) to continue advancing the values and vision of Francis Burt Chambers.
