Nilan Ekanayake

Nilan has a broad range of experience across most areas of commercial and civil litigation and has appeared as counsel in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts, and the Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Circuit and Federal Courts.  Nilan also has considerable experience appearing in the State Administrative Tribunal and sat as an Arbitrator in the Workers Compensation Arbitration Service at WorkCover WA.

Nilan’s work largely focuses on corporate or commercial disputes in superior courts, but is more than comfortable appearing in other jurisdictions.

Nilan aims to identify what a client’s ultimate goals are at an early stage, provide candid advice, and work with instructing solicitors to formulate strategies that will best achieve those goals in the most commercially sensible way.
