Kate Bower

Kate practices in civil litigation, specialising in construction and engineering matters, and commercial disputes. Kate has experience in all forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration (domestic and international), expert determination and mediation.

Kate has been recognised as a rising star in construction and infrastructure disputes by Legal500.

Prior to joining the bar, Kate was a Senior Associate in the construction and infrastructure disputes team at Herbert Smith Freehills, and practiced in the resources, waste-to-energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.  Kate has also completed extended secondments at multi-national resources and oil and gas corporations, including, most recently, as General Counsel of a top-tier company in the energy sector.

Kate is also a director of the Society of Construction Law Australia, and regularly presents and writes on areas relating to construction law (including the security of payment legislation) and equity.
