Francis Burt Chambers welcomes Guru Kugananthan who joins Chambers on 5 February 2024.
Before coming to the Bar, Guru practiced as a solicitor in Melbourne and Perth in matters involving competition and trade practices law, corporations law, contract law, judicial review and class actions.
More recently, he was a Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright Australia where he helped conduct litigation on behalf of companies, and Commonwealth regulators and government agencies in these areas of law.
Guru has also worked as a lawyer in commercial litigation at Allens where he assisted with high-value contract disputes and insolvency matters. Guru was also the associate to the Hon. John Gilmour QC at the Federal Court of Australia.
