FBC Welcomes Andrew Shuy

Francis Burt Chambers is pleased to welcome Andrew Shuy.

Andrew practises principally in public law, commercial law, regulatory law, and general civil litigation.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Andrew spent more than 20 years at the State Solicitor’s Office, where he served as Senior Assistant State Counsel and held acting appointments as Acting Adviser and Acting Deputy State Solicitor.

From 2017 until joining the Bar, Andrew was a key adviser to government in relation to the administration of mining and petroleum legislation in Western Australia and regularly appeared in judicial review and Warden’s Court proceedings, as well as administrative matters before the Mining Warden, concerning the operation of those regimes.

Andrew accepts briefs to appear in court and to advise in matters across his areas of practice.
