Earlier this week, Adam Sharpe SC and Cobey Taggart SC took their bow before the High Court of Australia in Canberra as part of the ceremonial acknowledgement of their appointment to Senior Counsel.
This 105-year-old annual ceremonial sitting on the High Court bench marks the culmination of a rigorous appointment process and recognises the integrity and excellence of those being appointed as Senior Counsel.
Being appointed Senior Counsel reflects not only individual excellence but also dedication to the rule of law and professional service.
It places them among a distinguished group of senior advocates who lead complex and high-profile matters in courts across the country, mentor junior counsel, contribute to legal education, and shape the practise of law in Australia.
Please join us in congratulating Adam Sharpe SC and Cobey Taggart SC on this significant milestone in their legal careers and to all the other newly appointed Silks who took their bows in Canberra this week.
