Simon Bourke

Simon Bourke practices predominantly in commercial law.

Before joining the Bar, Simon worked as a solicitor for A&O Shearman's litigation and arbitration teams in Perth and London, where his primary focus was on large-scale contract and construction disputes before international tribunals and the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He also acted in various complex, sensitive and high-profile matters, including proceedings before the Federal Court of Australia in relation to native title compensation, the enforcement of arbitral awards, and state immunity.

Simon was previously a Research Associate to the Hon Justices Banks-Smith and Colvin at the Federal Court of Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor.

He joins Francis Burt Chambers as a pupil.
