Kathryn Kraus
Kathryn is an experienced barrister practicing primarily in the area of criminal law.
After completing a Bachelor of Laws in 2010 and a Master of Laws in 2011, she was admitted to practice in 2012. Since that time, she has practiced in private criminal defence firms, at the Coroners Court of Western Australia and at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Kathryn has acted as counsel in a wide range of criminal matters in all Courts in Western Australia, including the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts. She has acted as counsel in a large number of jury trials, including lengthy and complex trials. She has represented clients charged with a variety of criminal offences, including charges relating to drugs, violence, sexual offences, property based offences and homicide. She appears regularly as counsel in trials, bail applications, directions hearings and sentencing hearings.
Kathryn also accepts briefs in relation to Violence Restraining Orders, Coronial matters and disciplinary proceedings.
