April Jarmoszewicz

April has a criminal and quasi-criminal/regulatory practice, with a particular interest in advocacy and trial work.

She has appeared in the Children's Court, Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court in Western Australia either for accused persons or as a prosecutor, for offences committed against both Western Australia and the Commonwealth.

Before joining the Bar, in 2025 April was a senior associate at a Western Australia based law firm where she represented clients including children and adults charged with drug offences, violent offending, and sexual assaults. She has also represented clients in care and protection matters and has appeared for both applicants and respondents in restraining order matters.

Following her admission in 2020, April represented clients as a criminal defence lawyer at a national firm before serving as an acting Senior Federal Prosecutor for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) in 2022. April later represented the Commonwealth as a lawyer for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission where she had a particular interest in regulatory market offences and director duty matters.

April is being mentored by one of Western Australia's leading silks and accepts briefs for both private and legally aided clients.
