Jessica Berry speaks on Criminal Law Panel at Murdoch University

Last week, FBC Member Jessica Berry spoke on a Criminal Law Panel alongside Claire Bass from Albert Wolf Chambers and Leslie Gabriel from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The panel discussion was hosted at The Murdoch University Moot Court & Law Centre, where panellists were asked to share their experiences when starting out in criminal law and why they enjoyed the work.

Jessica enjoyed the opportunity to inform students about how wide the practice area is, [in circumstances where her criminal law practice intersects with corporate law and often involves regulatory prosecutions], and how rewarding it can be. Panellists also talked about the importance of maintaining a strong support network and being vigilant to guard against burnout as it can be a challenging area.
