Francis Burt Chambers – Trial in the Tropics CPD Session

On Friday, Eric Heenan SC, Carolyn Moss, Clinton Russell SC, Rachel Joseph, Kim Lendich SC, Paul Yovich SC, Thomas Pontre, and Shirley Casey (sadly, not pictured here) presented at the Francis Burt Chambers “Trial in the Tropics” CPD seminar that The Piddington Society kindly facilitated as a side session to the Piddington Bali Conference.

Attendees had an opportunity to watch two counsel teams, comprised of experienced barristers, demonstrate skills involved in effectively proofing (rather wayward!) witnesses, carrying out examinations-in-chief that stay on track, and delivering devastating cross-examinations. Having been found to have made a deal with the Devil by the majority of attendees, rumour has it that the musician is still drowning her sorrows over margaritas by the pool; there are certainly worse locations for her to have found out that she had sold her soul (and for one to pick up some CPD points while learning useful trial advocacy tips and tricks!).

If you made it to our session, we really hope you enjoyed it and we would love to hear your feedback: trialinthetropics@francisburt.com.au.
