Francis Burt Chambers Presents in London

Last week in London, Australian solicitors based in the UK joined members of Francis Burt Chambers for an insightful and engaging afternoon of professional development and connection.

The program was opened by the Hon Ken Martin KC, setting the tone for a thought-provoking day. Ian Neil SC led a compelling workshop on written advocacy, generously sharing his expertise with a full room of practitioners. The afternoon was expertly hosted by Nicholas van Hattem. Participants also enjoyed a walking tour of Temple with Paul Gatt KC, who brought the rich history of the Inns of Court to life. Dr Amy Preston-Samson delivered a fascinating presentation on the reception of English law by Australia, deepening the group’s understanding of our legal heritage.

It was a wonderful opportunity to engage with the Australian legal community abroad, and we’re pleased to hear that attendees are already looking forward to the next event.
