Last Thursday, Francis Burt Chambers member Peter Lochore travelled to Margaret River to present a CPD session to the Busselton/Margaret River Discussion Group on “Legal Issues in the State Administrative Tribunal.” The session was attended by 14 local practitioners and focused on key legal issues arising in the Development & Resources stream of the Tribunal. Peter’s presentation addressed costs in SAT, stay orders, good faith decision-making, as well as bias and recusal.
Drawing from his own case experiences, his contributions to Planning Law in Australia (a Thomson Reuters publication) and his academic work at Curtin Law School, Peter shared both practical and theoretical insights relevant to everyday practice before the Tribunal. We’re proud to see our members sharing their expertise and engaging with the regional legal profession across Western Australia.
