Francis Burt Chambers – COVID-19 update

In response to the ongoing risks presented by the emerging COVID-19 situation in WA, the Board of Francis Burt Chambers has adopted the following policy effective 22 October 2022:

Please do not attend our Chambers, and either arrange an online meeting or reschedule any in-person meeting, if you:

  • are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat or any other cold or flu symptoms or have any other symptoms that may be consistent with COVID-19; or
  • test positive for COVID-19 (in which case you must not attend Chambers for at least 7 days following a positive test, remain away from Chambers until you are no longer symptomatic, and (in addition) comply with any current published WA Government directions (WA Directions)); or
  • have for any length of time had face-to-face contact or shared a closed space with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (while they were considered infectious) (close contact) (in which case you must get tested immediately and stay away from Chambers pending the result).

Anyone attending Chambers must:

  • wear a mask at all times if you are a close contact (having received a negative test result and not being symptomatic);
  • present at our reception desk on Level 25 unless visiting Level 12; and
  • practise safe physical distancing of at least 1.5m and avoid physical contact such as shaking hands.

Anyone attending Chambers is also encouraged to wear a mask while on our premises, and must do so if required by any WA Directions.

Thank you for your cooperation.
