Francis Burt Chambers is pleased to welcome Jessica Berry.
Jessica is participating in our pupillage programme, through which Eric Heenan SC, Brian Millar, Rachel Joseph and Veneita Bennett will be supporting her as she transitions to the bar.
Jessica began her legal career in 2014 as Associate to the Hon Justice David Newnes, Court of Appeal of Western Australia.
She then worked at the State Solicitor’s Office for several years, acting as counsel in both criminal and civil matters. Jessica has experience in complex regulatory prosecutions, civil liability matters, commercial and construction disputes and coronial inquests.
While at the State Solicitor’s Office, Jessica appeared as sole counsel in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Coroner’s Court and the State Administrative Tribunal, and completed a secondment to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.
Jessica practices in both commercial and public law and has lectured in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law and Introduction to Law at Mudoch University.
