Francis Burt Chambers is delighted to announce the return of the Honourable Michael Corboy SC to Chambers.
Mr Corboy SC was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Western Australia between 2010 and 2023. He served as a commercial and managed causes list judge, a member of Court of the Appeal and as the judge in charge of the Court’s criminal lists.
He was formerly a partner in an international law firm, a member of its national board of partners and the head of the dispute resolution section of its Perth office.
Mr Corboy SC joined the independent Bar (and Chambers) in 1996, and was appointed senior counsel in 2002. He is a former Board member, Vice Chair and Chair of Francis Burt Chambers.
While at the Bar, Mr Corboy SC appeared principally in commercial cases but acted in all practice areas, conducted arbitrations, mediations and expert determinations. He also acted as a court appointed mediator.
Mr Corboy SC accepts instructions as both mediator and arbitrator. He does not provide legal advice or representation.
