Profile
Verity accepts briefs on most commercial matters, particularly those involving contractual disputes, competition and consumer law, equity, and corporate insolvency. As a solicitor, Verity practiced in commercial litigation and acted for clients in the both the mining and construction industry in large scale complex litigation matters.
Verity has represented clients and advised in relation to administrative law matters including judicial review and an appellate level dispute regarding the exercise of administrative or judicial power.
For a junior barrister, Verity has a great deal of advocacy experience. She has appeared as sole counsel in the State Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Federal Court, District Court, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the State Administrative Tribunal. She is a skilled negotiator and has represented clients at mediation at the Supreme Court and District Court.
Verity is a member of the Council of the WA Bar and is on the Heritage Committee for Baseball Western Australia.
