Profile

Marina Georgiou is a commercial and public law barrister with a wide-ranging litigation practice. She specialises in administrative law, constitutional law, environment law, regulatory prosecutions, mining law and native title.

Prior to joining the Bar in 2017, Marina practised at the State Solicitor’s Office, where she regularly appeared both as counsel and junior counsel in most jurisdictions, including the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, Federal Court, SAT and the Magistrates Court. 

Between 2016 and 2017 Marina completed a placement at the Department of Environment Regulation (WA).

Marina has appeared as prosecutor in several clearing prosecutions, as well as in various civil hearings. She also appeared as junior counsel, led by the Solicitor General, in complex cases.
