Simon Taylor
Simon has a broad range of experience in a variety of practice areas, with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation and insurance law. Simon has represented clients in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts, and the Court of Appeal.
Simon commenced his career at Sparke Helmore Lawyers, working across a range of insurance practice areas including public liability, professional indemnity, directors and officers, marine, industrial special risks and business interruption. Simon was also involved in advising clients on the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Prior to joining the bar, Simon practiced as a commercial litigation solicitor at Taylor & Taylor Lawyers. During that time, Simon worked as the lead solicitor on a wide variety of commercial disputes, including high value and complex commercial litigation.
Simon has a Doctor of Medicine from UWA, a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo, and a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from UWA.
