Paul Walker

Paul Walker practises in both commercial and public law.

In relation to commercial matters, Paul focuses primarily on general contractual and commercial disputes (with particular expertise in the energy and resources and oil and gas sectors), corporate insolvencies, bankruptcies, taxation disputes and general corporations law issues.

Paul has advised and appeared in a variety of matters in the Supreme Court, Federal Court and High Court. He also has experience in domestic and international arbitrations and matters before tribunals or other statutory merits review bodies.

Before he was called to the Bar, Paul was a Senior Associate at Ashurst (formerly Blake Dawson Waldron) in the disputes and insolvency team.

Paul is the author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of contract, tort, unjust enrichment and corporate insolvency law, and has tutored in corporations law at the University of Western Australia for a number of years.
