Francis Burt Chambers has a number of barristers who accept instructions in tax and revenue law at Commonwealth and/or State level.

They include Senior Counsel and experienced junior counsel who have appeared in High Court of Australia, the Full Court of the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Western Australia (both Court of Appeal and General Division), the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the State Administrative Tribunal.

Our members include those who appear regularly in proceedings under Part IVC of the Tax Administration Act 1953 (Cth), judicial review (s 39B of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth)), recovery and other contentious matters, and who have advised or appeared in matters involving CGT, demerger rollover relief, director penalties, foreign tax offset and international tax treaty issues, fraud and evasion opinions, fuel tax, GST, penalties, R & D offsets, residency, small business relief and superannuation. 

At State level, our members include those who have advised or appeared in matters involving State taxes such as duty, payroll tax and land tax.
