Facilities available include conference rooms on every floor, including a large conference room and three small break out rooms on Level 12 that are available to hire for Arbitrations and Mediations.  The main reception is on level 19, with kitchen facilities on every floor, secretarial bays and offsite storage offered.  Secure car parking is limited to twenty seven bays and members are advised when bays become available.

Facilities

Members enjoy the full range of technical support facilities, accessible 24 hours a day. Technical facilities include fully networked computer facilities with high-speed Internet access, DVD/TV, photocopiers with facsimile function, direct dial telephones and conference call facilities. Support facilities and services include an extensive legal library, IT seminars and training, on-line legal data bases, continuing legal education, mentoring, Common Room/bar and regular social functions.

Tenancy Arrangements

Chambers recognises that at times members may require flexibility in their tenancy arrangements.  Accordingly, room-share and door tenancy arrangements are available.
  • Room sharing applications will be considered where an applicant is pregnant, has the primary care of a child or another person, is prevented from working on a full time basis or can show special circumstances.

  • Door tenancy arrangements will be considered where a member’s situation warrants it. The Board will consider door tenancies for periods up to 12 months, with further extension if there are special circumstances. A door tenancy enables a member of Chambers to vacate an allocated room and continue to use Chambers’ facilities such as the library, receipt of mail and telephone calls, reception and conference rooms. Full tenancy can be resumed at the expiry of the door tenancy period without loss of seniority in Chambers.

Pupillage and Mentoring

There is a pupillage system in place for new members who wish to commence practice at the Bar as a pupil.

In addition, a mentoring program is arranged for each new member of chambers, and for
other members on request.

For further details, please contact the Executive Officer on +61 8 9220 0500.
